As we deck the halls & jingle the bells, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the year that was at Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre & everything we’ve achieved in 2024.
The theme of this year for the Beauty Reclaimed team was embracing change. We were hit with some huge industry mandates, which required us to pivot how we do business, along with changes to our team & in-clinic offering. And while it was tempting to run & hide from the tricky stuff; instead, we focused on doubling down on change - accepting the ebbs & flows, and using the shifts to re-think exactly what we do - and how we do it.
One of the fundamental changes of 2024 was the introduction of new TGA guidelines around the promotion of non-cosmetic surgical procedures.
Having long relied on publicly showcasing our work, our results & our client feedback, we were forced to fundamentally alter how we promote our non-cosmetic offering. The new rules required a massive overhaul of all our internal and external communications, along with re-education for our customers about what we do & exactly what the BR difference is. Fast forward to the end of 2024, and on reflection, the new TGA guidelines have been somewhat of a blessing in disguise. They’ve allowed us to go back to doing what we do best: talking with clients about our treatments. Being unable to promote non-cosmetic surgical procedures via our marketing channels has allowed us to work directly with clients to share our treatment ethos, resulting in deeper client relationships & in-clinic trust.
This year has also seen the BR team sharpen our focus on treatment planning & education.
We’ve re-aligned our mission as a team to prioritise long-term skin care for our clients, working directly with them to achieve results. As we head into 2025, we’re continuing our efforts to provide holistic skin advice - for good. We want all clients to have clear skin goals for the year ahead, and a solid plan of in-clinic treatments, coupled with quality at-home skincare, to achieve the skin of their dreams. With this in mind, we’ll continue to promote our advanced treatment planning consultations, along with our new skin analysis machine, to give clients a really in-depth look at their skin now, and into the future.
With the cost-of-living crisis impacting clients & businesses alike, we looked at ways this year to make our treatments more cost-effective.
We know that when times are tough, beauty & skin appointments are often one of the first things to be trimmed from the budget - but it’s these self-care moments that are valuable for so many. So, how to make our BR treatments a little easier on the purse strings? We introduced our Aglow Memberships - like a gym membership for your face! The memberships help break down the cost of our treatments, while also coming with a swag of lovely perks, including priority booking (handy for the busy silly season!), a birthday gift & more. If you haven’t considered Aglow, we’d definitely recommend exploring it in 2025 - it’s a great way to prioritise your skincare & yourself!
Finally, this year saw some change among the BR team. We bid a VERY sad farewell to our beloved Nikki as she set off on her new venture as owner of clothing boutique Edited & Co & to our part-time receptionist, Erika. But we did welcome the lovely Kayla, who has become a critical part of our skin & beauty offering. Kayla’s arrival has allowed us to really cement our status as skin specialists and re-focus our efforts on all things skin.
As we farewell the year, we want to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful clients.
We’re incredibly lucky to have continued to grow our customer base in 2024, welcoming many new faces, while still looking after customers who have been with us from the very beginning. Thank you for your ongoing support - we are very lucky to have you!
We’re looking forward to a busy 2025 - we’ve got several new treatments in the pipeline & plenty of new things to share with you early next year. Watch this space - all will be revealed soon!
